A handy hint when decorating your bedroom is to make sure that your furniture is the proper scale for the room. If you've always wanted a king size bed and your bedroom can comfortably handle that size of bed, great - go for it! Try to avoid a large bed like king-size, though, if your bedroom is not big enough to handle it. It presents two problems - first, logistically it will be difficult to maneuver in the room, and second, your bedroom will look smaller than it is. Use masking tape on the floor of your bedroom if you are not sure about the size, and plan for at least two feet of walking space on either side of the bed if possible. |
