Distance Yourself from Your Alarm
If you have to get out of bed to switch your alarm off, it is much more likely that you'll avoid “extra ten minutes sleep syndrome”. OK, so this requires a little will-power, but is worth a try – just remember to place the alarm a reasonable distance away from the bed – not so far that you'll be able to ignore it, but far enough that you won't sleep-walk over to switch it off and go straight back to bed!
